At Romans 12 Church, we want to know Jesus, follow His Word, and live by the power of the Holy Spirit. The beliefs below summarize the faith we share as a Foursquare church and the way we seek to live it together.

The Bible is our foundation

We believe the Bible is inspired by God and is the trustworthy authority for what we believe and how we live. We return to Scripture to learn who God is, understand the good news of Jesus, and receive wisdom for everyday life.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16

There is one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

We believe in one eternal God, revealed as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. He lived without sin, gave His life for us on the cross, and rose bodily from the dead. Through Him we see God’s character and receive the way back to God.

Jesus is Savior, Healer, Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, and Coming King

The fourfold message of the Foursquare Church points to the ongoing work and promise of Jesus. He saves us from sin and brings us into new life. We believe God cares for the whole person and still brings healing. Jesus gives the Holy Spirit to empower His people for witness and service. And we look forward to Jesus’ return as King.

These truths are seen throughout the New Testament, including John 3:16–17, Acts 1:8, James 5:14–16, and Acts 1:11.

Salvation is a gift of grace

Every person needs God’s forgiveness and new life. We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ—not by earning our way to God. We respond to His grace with repentance and trust, and the Holy Spirit begins shaping us to live like Jesus. Following Christ is a daily life of faith, obedience, and dependence on God.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8

The Holy Spirit empowers and transforms us

We believe the Holy Spirit is present and active today. The Spirit empowers believers to share the gospel, serve one another, and live faithfully. The Spirit also produces Christlike character in us and gives gifts for the building up of the church. We make room for God to work, while testing everything by Scripture and seeking to use every gift in love.

The church worships, grows, and serves together

Jesus calls the church to worship God, make disciples, baptize new believers, remember Him at the Lord’s Table, and carry the good news into the world. We are called to love one another, care for our neighbors, and serve with humility. At Romans 12 Church, we want our life together to reflect Paul’s call to offer ourselves to God and be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:1–2).

We live in the hope of Christ’s return

We believe Jesus will return, that God will raise the dead and bring His just judgment, and that those who belong to Christ will share eternal life with Him. This hope gives courage for today and calls us to faithful living as we wait for the King.
